Our school provides these innovative programs for those who want to become teachers in their country. With these programs the student will develop new and fun Techniques to use in their English classes. These full-time 4-week courses introduces students to the skills needed to teach English to children. Upon completion, a practicum can be arranged at a local elementary school.

 

TEC Course

TEACHING ENGLISH TO CHILDREN

The Program...

  • This full-time 4-week course (total 120 lessons) divided by 2-week TEC Course Introduction and 2-week TEC Course. Introduces students to the skills needed to teach English to children. Upon completion, a practicum can be arranged at a local elementary school.
  • The TEC Course is designed to give non-native English speakers an overview of Teaching English to Children.
  • The techniques you learn in class will help you in your future career as a children’s English teacher in your home country.
  • The class is based on a hands-on approach. Students will have many opportunities to practice what they’ve learned.
  • A Practicum in a local pre-school can be arranged by GEOS Language Academy Vancouver after completion of the 4-week course.
 

TESOL Course

TEACHING ENGLISH TO SPEAKERS OF OTHER LANGUAGES

 The Program...

  • The TESOL Course is designed to give non-native English speakers an overview of Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages. The techniques you learn in class will help you in your future career as an English teacher in your home country.
  • This full-time 4-week course (total 120 lessons) divided by 2-week TESOL Introduction and 2-week TESOL Course. introduces students to the skills needed to teach English to young learners. Upon completion, a practicum can be arranged at a local school.
  • The class is based on a hands-on approach. Students will have many opportunities to practice what they’ve learned.
  • Model Lessons may be held with current GEOS students in the Beginner level classes.
